Investment Casting Wax Patterns
Investment casting is the process of coating wax in ceramic, melting the
wax away and pouring in the select metal. This "lost-wax" process provides high
quality metal castings with a good surface finish and complex geometry at a competitive
price without extensive machining.
At Biztech Inc. we provide wax patterns in a variety of waxes and finishes. We start
with a customer supplied STL file; the file is scaled to allow for shrinkage. A
SLA pattern is grown and finished to specification. A silicon mold is them created
from the SLA pattern and investment pattern wax is then poured in to create multiple
patterns.
